In our last post we discussed the total number of franchises in Spain, 1,079, of which about 15% (167) are foreign. With regard to the number of stores, foreign franchises take a bigger slice of the pie, with a share of 21% or 13.367 stores. By regions, Madrid, Catalonia, Andalucia and Valencia register most franchise chains and stores.
Beauty and esthetics are hot property right now, occupying the number one position in the service sector, with a total of 61 chains. Likewise, furniture franchises take the lead in the reail sector with 56 chains.
